Registration/Pledges

Congratulations... you've taken on the challenge of participating in the most anticipated triathlon series in the world - the Island Triathlon Series™.

Tri4Dignity™ is an opportunity for you as an individual to achieve a personal goal and help us to harness the power of community to fight AIDS. We know its hard enough having to train for the big day let alone having to come up with the money to pay for travel and accomodation. ITS understands the undertaking you've just ventured into and have partnered with Dignitas International to provide you the Athlete with an opportunity to raise money for a worthy international cause while covering the costs of your participation in an event of this magnitude. You have the opportunity to select either the Island Eighty™ or IslandForty™ distance.

Dignitas International is a pioneering medical humanitarian organization working with communities to dramatically increase access to life-saving treatment and prevention in areas overwhelmed by HIV/AIDS. Founded by a group of international health and research experts, Dignitas International is led by Dr. James Orbinski, who accepted the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize as International President of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF/Doctors Without Borders).

Requirements

You will be required to raise a minimum of $5,000 CDN/USD to participate. In return for your fundraising efforts you will receive:

• Round-trip airfare to Turks & Caicos (there are increased fundraising minimums if you live outside Canada or the USA)
• Accommodation for 6 nights, 7 days
• $25 Registration fee discount
• Invitation to the exclusive Premier’s Reception for pro-athletes, celebrities, sponsors and Tri4Dignity athletes only
• Round trip transportation from the airport to the hotel
• A Post-race party ticket
• Customized Island Eighty™ or Island Forty™ Training program
• Special Tri4Dignity gifting
• All Tri4Dignity athletes will be entered into a Draw for a prize valued at $1,000 minimum
• Prizes for Top Three Fundraisiers

Once Registered

Once you have registered on-line you will receive the following...

• A fundraising manual with ideas and letter templates
• Training program from top triathlete coach Steve Bentley
• Pledge forms
• A letter of support on ITS letterhead, detailing the training and fundraising commitment you have made to the Tri4Dignity™ program.
• Comprehensive information on Dignitas International

Fundraising Submissions and Deadlines

We have set up fundraising deadlines to assist you in staying on top of your fundraising and to ensure that Tri4Dignity™ meets the deadlines imposed by our accommodation and travel suppliers. These are deadlines rather than guidelines, and you will be required to meet them. It is incumbent upon the ITS never to put donors' dollars at risk.
